Trans Maldivian Airways awards winners of Pilot Scholarship Program
Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has awarded the winners of the Pilot Scholarship Program in Canada, initiated under “Zuvana – TMA Youth Development Program”. The five winners of the scholarship program were awarded by H.E. President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom at a special ceremony, held at Traders Hotel on the 5th August.
The program, aimed specially for Maldivians, saw over 200 apply during the application process following the announcement of the program in May. A total of 113 qualified applicants were shortlisted during the selection process, which also included 25 TMA employees.
The five winners of the Pilot Scholarship Program are Ahmed Azan, Ahmed Azmee, Ahmed Naif Rafeeq, Ahmed Shinan and Mohamed Saifan. The scholarship winners are guaranteed a job placement at TMA, the world’s largest seaplane operator, following their training in Canada.
