Maldives’ Growth Continues
Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has taken delivery of another aircraft, the second in the space of a month. The De Havilland DHC-6 Series 300, arrived at Velana International Airport (VIA) in the evening of Monday 3rd April after completing its journey from Calgary in Canada.
TMA’s expanding fleet mirrors the expansion of the nations tourist industry; with new resorts bringing an increase in bed capacity, and this demand will be met by TMA’s new additions.
The World’s largest seaplane operator, TMA transferred close to a million passengers on more than 120,000 flights in 2016, and 2017 looks set to be even busier.
