ISO certifications

In January, Trans Maldivian Airways received its ISO and OHSAS certifications, issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI). The certifications were awarded during TMA’s 25th anniversary ceremony by the Managing Director of the BSI Group India, Mr. Venkataram Arabolu.

These certifications are a testimony to the initiative and commitment of TMA’s management and the company’s employees to mark their presence on the global stage.

TMA achieved International recognition by implementing these standards:

TMA has integrated quality, environment, occupational health & safety into their management system with each function aligned behind a single goal.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System – Aims to enhance the performance of quality processes and service to customers with continual improvement of TMA’s quality management system.

ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System – Aims to improve the environmental performance by resource management, waste reduction & environmental impact mitigation created by TMA’s processes.

OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System – Aims to improve occupational health and safety performance through the effective management of hazards and associated risks at workplace.

ISO Certification scope of TMA: “Commercial Air Transport Services through Seaplane Operations including all functions approved by CAA, and supporting functions, while considering issues related to external and internal context, compliance obligations, requirements of relevant interested parties and necessary controls/ influence over the identified environmental aspects”.
